The Blind Spots of AI: When Data Only Tells Half the Story – or Who Writes the Rules of Our Future? We are living through the biggest technological shift in history. AI already decides who gets jobs, loans, or medical diagnoses. But algorithms are not neutral: they learn from historical data – and often only know "half the story." Because for decades our world was measured primarily against male data (the gender data gap), AI unconsciously learns to disadvantage women – whether in recruiting or in medicine. If women don't actively shape and question AI, the technology will cement yesterday's inequalities as the unshakeable rules of tomorrow. In this talk, Anna Kofler uncovers the blind spots of AI – and shows how every woman can actively take part: both in shaping the technology and in countering bias in everyday interactions with AI. A wake-up call not to leave the future to an incomplete algorithm, but to write it ourselves.
