The event held on 28 April 2026 discussed the role of European Universities Alliances (EUAs) in the further development of Austria's higher education strategy, offering keynotes and discussions on opportunities, potentials and challenges faced by EUAs.

Being part of the biannual event, USTP – University of Applied Sciences St. Pölten and E³UDRES² invited the public to the institution's campus, where visitors of all ages got to know more about the alliance as well as the university of applied sciences and its facitilities.

From 16 to 17 April 2026, European University Alliances met at the University of Granada for the second transversal FOREU4All workshop on aligning project management and impact. E³UDRES² was represented by Gabriele Permoser, Managing Director of E³UDRES², contributing to discussions on impact‑driven alliance management.

In April 2026, various E³UDRES² students visited USTP – University of Applied Sciences St. Pölten, strengthening connections with the Austrian institution and learning more about its offers and facilities.

This session is designed to introduce staff to the E³UDRES² challenge-based learning formats, as well as to explore the role of the “Educational Entrepreneur”.

S.P.A.C.E. is a new Marie Skłodowska‑Curie–funded European Researchers’ Night initiative led by USTP, bringing science closer to citizens through creative, participatory and inclusive formats. Developed together with Ars Electronica and Johannes Kepler University Linz, the project connects research, education and society across regions. Through its alignment with the E³UDRES² European University Alliance, S.P.A.C.E. strengthens cross‑regional collaboration and citizen engagement in science.

On 24 and 25 March, E³UDRES² partners gathered at Saxion for two days of reflection, knowledge exchange and collaboration as part of the alliance’s ongoing commitment to regional development.

On March 27, the President of Latvia, Edgars Rinkēvičs, visited Vidzeme University of Applied Sciences (ViA) to engage in a discussion with students about how higher education is evolving to meet the rapidly changing needs of society and the labour market.

The local week of E³UDRES² Hybrid I Living Lab was a dynamic week of innovation, teamwork, and cultural exchange - reimagining the future of higher education through real-world challenges and shared ideas.

The alliance strengthens its research agenda as six new prospective Applied Research Centres of Excellence move forward in their development, positioning E³UDRES² as a driver of innovation and excellence across its priority domains.

Members of the E³UDRES² Board of Student Representatives organized the first “Mini-Hackathon – by Students, for Students”, bringing students from across the alliance together to explore Design Thinking, discuss challenges, and co-create ideas for the future. The event also marks the beginning of a new format that will continue through both online and local activities under the label “by Students, for Students.”

Politehnica University of Timişoara (UPT) through the Digital and Distance Education Department, together with European Universities Alliance E³UDRES² and Accelerate Future HEI project, with the support of IEEE Romania - hosted the 13th edition of the International Open Education & Science Practices Workshop, on Friday, 6 March 2026.

Partners from across the E³UDRES² alliance met in Enschede to align progress on developing future Regional Innovation Hubs and to prepare upcoming steps. The meeting strengthened collaboration and shared understanding across regions.

IPS brought together regional and European partners to advance its Regional Engagement Assessment, strengthening collaboration, assessing impact, and enhancing its role in regional development and innovation.

A three-day staff training titled “A Community of Practice for Teaching and Learning Developers” was held from 03 to 05 February 2026 at USTP – University of Applied Sciences St. Pölten in Austria, bringing together teaching and learning professionals from across the E³UDRES² alliance committed to advancing excellence in higher education.

The 13th International Workshop on Open Education & Science Practices 2026, organised by Politehnica University of Timișoara together with E³UDRES², Accelerate Future HEI and IEEE Romania, explores “Digital and emerging technologies in education and science.” The hybrid event takes place on 6 March 2026, with short paper submissions (2–4 pages) open until 1 March and accepted contributions published in open access.

The E³UDRES² Student Board has launched its first Action Plan for 2026, focusing on onboarding, engagement, and communication. The plan strengthens student participation across the alliance and marks a clear step toward establishing the Board as an active and integral part of E³UDRES²’s development.

From Monday 12 to Friday 16 January 2026, the YOSHI week themed "Build Together, Grow Together" took place at Saxion UAS. YOSHI, an extracurricular programme of the E³UDRES² alliance, uses collaborative online learning to empower students aiming to create their own business.

E³UDRES² was represented at the high‑level Erasmus+ conference in Brussels, where Prof. Karim Khakzar (Fulda UAS) showcased how the alliance advances challenge‑based learning, hands‑on innovation, and regional collaboration. EU representatives recognised the strong contribution of European University Alliances to future‑ready learning ecosystems, praising their openness, innovation, and regional engagement.

The E³UDRES² European University Alliance has released a dedicated E³UDRES² Sustainability Guide, presenting a unified framework to support and strengthen sustainability and emission reduction efforts across the alliance. The publication underscores E³UDRES²' commitment to developing “Smart and Sustainable Regions”.

A Saxion student has been selected to represent both Saxion and the E³UDRES² Alliance at the European Student Assembly 2026 in Strasbourg. Miguel  Pérez  Hernández will join 250 students from across Europe to discuss key challenges and help shape future policy ideas.

The 2025 edition of the UPT Excellence Awards Gala included a new award category dedicated to E³UDRES², recognising outstanding contributions to international cooperation and digital development within the Alliance.

65 students from USTP and Cherkasy Business College (Ukraine) collaborated in the SHOCK – Share Your Culture project, creating videos about Austrian and Ukrainian traditions. Despite challenges, Professor Dawn Kremslehner-Haas delivered a guest lecture on “Building Cross-Cultural Competence” to the Ukrainian students.

Recently, Vera de Ruiter, manager at Saxion Centre for Entrepreneurship (SCvO), and Annemarie Penders, project leader at SCvO, were at the heart of European collaboration during the fourth Innovation Vision Action Planning (IVAP) Workshop of the EIT Higher Education Initiative in Krakow, Poland.

In the beginning of December, academic directors from social work programs across the E³UDRES² alliance gathered at USTP – University of Applied Sciences St. Pölten for a focused working meeting titled “The Social connectEUrs.”

The Politehnica University of Timișoara, through the Digital and Distance Education Department and the Multimedia Center, alongside the E³UDRES² Alliance, and with the support of IEEE Education Romania and the projects Accelerate Future HEIs project and LECTURE, organizes the 10th edition of the International Digital Skills Workshop 2025: Developing Digital Skills for Resilience.

Under the motto "Connecting Europe by Shaping Regional Identities", the E³UDRES² Hackathon 2025 was hosted not only at one, but three locations across Europe at the same time. Students, regional businesses as well as Educational Entrepreneurs, the coaches guiding the student teams, collaborated intensely to work on solving regional challenges in a restricted timeframe.

Last week, USTP - University of Applied Sciences St. Pölten hosted an inspiring International Week, bringing together partners, students, and innovators from across Europe. Highlights included interactive sessions, keynote speakers, and E³UDRES² award categories across multiple ceremonies. These recognitions celebrated creativity, diversity, and innovation within our network.

From 24 to 28 November, the Innovation Co-creation Laboratory (IKL) took place in Vidzeme, where students, researchers, and entrepreneurs worked on challenges defined by local businesses in the sustainable food and beverage technology sector. This year, eight companies from six municipalities of the Vidzeme region participated, presenting ten real business development challenges at the core of the program.

The E³UDRES² team at Fulda UAS was happy to host an inspiring “Future University” workshop on 6 November 2025, bringing together staff and E³UDRES² partners to exchange ideas, reflect on achievements, and co‑create visions for the future of higher education.

Abeje Mersha, Professor of Smart Mechatronics and Robotics (SMART) at Saxion UAS, is the proud winner of the 2025 Deltapremie award. Along with his fellow winner Janine Janssen from Avans University of Applied Sciences, he will be the figurehead of applied research for the next two years.

What can students explore during the studies? Which opportunities do they have to make the most of their time at university? The E³UDRES² Team joined others at fairs for first-semester students to encourage participation in activities such as the E³UDRES² formats.

On 04 November 2025, St. Pölten University of Applied Sciences revealed its new name "USTP – University of Applied Sciences St. Pölten". Along with the name, the university presented its all-new branding and logo.

The two-day workshop had the goal to more deeply explore possibilities of cooperation with Ukraine. The event, bringing together participants from various backgrounds and countries both on-site and online, served as an opportunity to learn from existing cooperation activities with Ukrainian universities.

On October 10, 2025, the exhibition “Unissued Diplomas” was opened in Valmiera, at Vidzeme University of Applied Sciences (ViA), Cēsu Street 4 courtyard. The exhibition presents the stories of Ukrainian students who lost their lives during Russia’s invasion in Ukraine.

Vidzeme University of Applied Sciences has been granted the prestigious “HR Excellence in Research” award by the European Commission. The university of applied sciences is the first higher education institution in Latvia – and the third in the Baltics – to receive this distinction.

On the 8th of October 2025, the E³UDRES² alliance brought together students, lecturers, researchers, and staff from all over Europe for a full day of learning, inspiration, and exchange during the Live Lecture Day. The online event featured a full programme of short, interactive lectures, each hosted by a different partner university.

E³UDRES² partners joined the Sines Leadership Hackathon to help shape the IPS Sines Campus – bringing international expertise to create a hub for innovation, sustainability, and regional development.

The LEAPXR project unites 16 partners, including six institutions from the E³UDRES² alliance, to explore how Extended Reality (XR) can transform healthcare education and foster entrepreneurial innovation. This October, the consortium gathered in St. Pölten for an on-site meeting that laid the groundwork for immersive learning experiences and cross-sector collaboration. The event marked a key milestone in shaping the future of XR-driven education and innovation across Europe.

During the annual European Researchers’ Night, with more than 1200 visitors this year, E³UDRES² joined the celebrations in Graz with activities for students, staff, and the public. Highlights included an interactive booth, the Photovoice Challenge exhibition, and two Science Pub Quizzes, making science accessible and engaging for all.

From 22 to 26 September 2025, the Polytechnic University of Setúbal (IPS) proudly hosted the E³UDRES² Autumn Summit, bringing together the alliance’s leaders, students, researchers, and partners for a week of exchange, co-creation, and celebration.

From 15-19 September 2025, St. Pölten UAS hosted the E³UDRES² Intensive I Living Lab 2025. Around 130 students coming from St. Pölten UAS as well as the E³UDRES² partner universities came together to explore the ways in which harmful narratives can surface in culture, media, and digital spaces.

Vidzeme University of Applied Sciences invites academic, business, and municipal representatives to the E³UDRES² Stakeholders’ Forum, taking place on 17 October 2025, from 9:00 to 15:00 (GMT+3) in Valmiera.

A student team from St. Pölten UAS won first place in the Mobile Development category at the 10th Interactive Digital Media Student Contest, hosted by Politehnica University Timișoara as part of E³UDRES² activities. Their achievement highlights the alliance’s mission to connect universities across Europe and inspire innovative, real-world solutions.

E³UDRES² students from over 20 countries collaborated on creative video projects to develop intercultural skills. Three winning teams earned prizes and the chance to showcase their work on E³UDRES² platforms.

From 07-11 July 2025, 33 students as well as eight interdisciplinary coaches from the E³UDRES² partner institutions made their way to the Austrian city of St. Pölten for the E³UDRES² Bootcamp 2025. Titled "Creative Roots: Designing Experiences Inspired by Nature", the event centered around a variety of nature-related real-life challenges.

The annual "Hochschultage" (University Days) festival, organised by the General Student Committee, was hosted for the 40th time, attracting a large and diverse crowd.The campus was transformed into a festival area for three days, offering diverse activities including bands, DJs, food and drink stands, and cultural events. Over 20 stands were present at the event, one of which was designated for E³UDRES².

As E³UDRES² Ambassadors of Sustainability, the winning students from HTL Wiener Neustadt joined a hands-on workshop on eco-design. Guided by UAS St. Pölten researcher Dr. Viktoria Leitner, they built sustainable bridges from everyday materials. The activity brought E³UDRES² values - innovation, collaboration, and real-world impact - into the classroom.

Following two successful semesters of language courses, E³UDRES² is expanding its offering with a new round of opportunities to upgrade one's linguistic skills - now also including Albanian and Ukrainian.

Politehnica University Timișoara successfully hosted the first edition of the E³UDRES² – Ent-r-e-novators PhD Summer School 2025 – Open Practices in Higher Education. The event gathered over 70 international students from 22 countries in person, and an additional 400 students attended online via Zoom.

The Europe Direct Center in Fulda organized an event on 27th of May 2025, bringing different groups of people together to discuss the future skills needed for Europe.

Two Saxion UAS students, Lily Rijnberg (studying International Business) and Jarno Meul (studying Industrial Product Design), recently returned from the European Student Assembly, a powerful event held in the European Parliament in Strasbourg. Alongside over 250 young changemakers from across Europe, they contributed to shaping policy recommendations on issues ranging from youth housing and sustainability to AI, democracy, and inclusion.

The 11th Interactive Digital Media Student Contest is a practical E³UDRES² opportunity to showcase skills in web, mobile, XR, IoT, and AV production. Held on 20 June 2025 as a hybrid event in Timișoara and online, it’s open to BA, MA, PhD, and high school students. Prizes, industry connections, and potential travel support are available.

With the latest E³UDRES² Awards of Excellence, the alliance aims to recognize and celebrate individuals who inspired change, engaged communities, and pushed the boundaries of knowledge through creativity and impactful concepts.

Students across Austria shared powerful climate messages through the Photovoice Challenge at the E³UDRES² Science Festival 2025 in St. Pölten. Using photography and storytelling, they called for intergenerational action-and were honoured as E³UDRES² Ambassadors of Sustainability.

From 19 to 21 May 2025, the first Austrian edition of the E³UDRES² Science Festival was hosted in the city of St. Pölten, celebrating research, curiosity, and collaboration. Under the theme “Local Pulse, Global Waves,” the event brought together researchers, students, educators, and citizens.

Ukrainian partners shared deeply moving stories and artwork at the E³UDRES² Science Festival 2025. From war-time resilience to remembrance, their exhibition—including the “Unissued Diplomas”—highlighted the strength of students who continue to learn, lead, and inspire.

E³UDRES² is proud to be part of LEAPXR, a newly funded project under the EIT Higher Education Initiative. Bringing together 15 partners from across Europe - including six core E³UDRES² institutions - the project aims to drive innovation in healthcare and entrepreneurship through extended reality (XR) technologies.

The 2025 annual conference of EURASHE took place on May 14–15 in the Portuguese city of Portalegre, drawing together higher education leaders, policymakers, and regional stakeholders from across Europe.

On 14 May 2025, students at Fulda University of Applied Sciences gathered for the annual International Day, a highlight event for those interested in incorporating an international experience into their studies.

Klaas Vansteenhuyse has been appointed as the first Director of Learning for the E³UDRES² Alliance. In this strategic role, he will foster collaboration across partner institutions, support educational innovation, and strengthen the integration of joint learning initiatives.

UCLL kicked off the “Close to My Bed” tour, an initiative spotlighting how the EU supports students locally. E³UDRES² alumnus Nasim Chahbi shared insights from his Bootcamp journey and international experience. Interactive activities like VR and quizzes made Europe’s impact on education tangible.​

From 5th to 9th May, the cafeteria at Fulda University of Applied Sciences took students and faculty on a culinary journey through Europe, as they hosted a culinary week called 'Get a Taste of Europe' in collaboration with the university cafeteria, as part of the DAAD “Weeks of European Universities”.

Fulda University of Applied Sciences has hit a record for its summer semester, welcoming more than 1,000 new students. Over 60% of these first-semester students obtained their higher education qualifications outside Germany! The E³UDRES² team was pleased to welcome these students at the Support Services Fair, where they informed students about the alliance and its diverse opportunities.

From traditional dances to delightful dishes, International Dinner 2025 Spring Edition at MATE brought together global traditions through dance, music, and food. With performances from across continents and cuisine that told stories of home, it was a great evening celebrating diversity, community, and culture in its most vibrant form.

At the beginning of April, St. Pölten UAS welcomed two groups of international E³UDRES² students to its campus in Austria. Students from Politehnica University Timișoara in Romania and the Hungarian University of Agriculture and Life Sciences visited the institution, strengthening the ties between the academic partners.

In March, Jiří Nantl, Deputy Minister at the Czech Ministry of Education, visited St. Pölten University of Applied Sciences. He discussed cooperation opportunities in media, AI, cybersecurity, and digital health with E³UDRES² representatives. The visit highlighted cross-border collaboration within E³UDRES².

Call for Applications: The E³UDRES² - Ent-r-e-novators project, together with Politehnica University of Timișoara, are pleased to announce the first PhD Summer School 2025 on Open Practices in Higher Education, held on June 02 - 06 2025, in Timișoara, Romania.

The E³UDRES² Spring Summit 2025, held in Enschede, Netherlands from March 17-21, brought together international stakeholders, researchers, policymakers, students, and industry leaders to explore the future of regional innovation, higher education, and applied research.

TransSoDia, a joint project uniting E³UDRES² partners St. Pölten University of Applied Sciences (Austria), Saxion University of Applied Sciences (Netherlands) as well as the Kiel University of Applied Sciences (Germany), enhanced tools for teaching and education in the field of social diagnostics.

The E³UDRES² Spring Summit 2025 brought together international stakeholders at Saxion University in Enschede to explore the future of regional innovation, deep-tech, and applied research. Through keynotes, innovation hub visits, and cross-sector collaboration, the event highlighted how E³UDRES² drives transformative change across European regions.

A week of science and discovery led seven UC Leuven-Limburg UAS Biomedical Laboratory Technology students to the Hungarian University of Agriculture and Life Sciences. During a five-day intensive course, they explored embryonic development through hands-on labs, expert lectures, and additional cultural visits.

Over the past year, E³UDRES² continued to make a tangible impact by engaging a diverse group of students, educators, researchers, and regional stakeholders through a range of activities and initiatives.

The Polytechnic University of Setúbal hosted Employment Week with more than 120 companies, strengthening connections with the local community.

A lecturer from the Polytechnic University of Setúbal visited St. Pölten University of Applied Sciences to engage in discussions on cybersecurity and media technologies, highlighting the growing collaboration between E³UDRES² partners and offering students insights from international experts.

A high-level meeting in Brussels focused on the future of the European Universities Initiative, with E³UDRES² President Hannes Raffaseder highlighting the importance of game-changing teaching methods.

E³UDRES² is organizing at Vidzeme UAS the workshop "Strategies to enhance the E³UDRES² alliance rate of success in getting funding for research projects" dedicated to key researchers and research managers, as well representatives of the Research Centres of Excellence.

From 10-14 February 2025, a Blended Intensive Programme for students titled "Data Unlocked: Mastering Data Analysis Methods and Storytelling" took place at Vidzeme University of Applied Sciences (ViA), Latvia.

Join the E³UDRES² Ent-r-e-novators Science Policy Conference on May 13, 2025, hosted in Portugal. The event can be attended in person or online, bringing together experts and interested guests to explore science policy, innovation, and collaboration possibilities.

The International Stakeholders Forum brings together regional stakeholders from all partners and is designed to foster collaboration, inspire innovation, and build lasting connections across our regions.

For the first time, E³UDRES² is hosting a training session on online language teaching. The session entitled “How to Create an Engaging Synchronous Language Learning Environment?” will take place on 23 January 2025. The E³UDRES² Alliance is inviting all interested teachers from E³UDRES² partners and associated universities to join this unique opportunity.

From 2 to 4 December 2024, Vidzeme UAS development vice-rector Iveta Putniņa attended the UNESCO International Forum in the Republic of Korea. The event, which focused on the different possible futures of education, posed questions such as whether education can cope with the fast changes in the technologies.

Students and staff of the Fulda University of Applied Sciences enjoyed a varied programme in a festive atmosphere at Café Chaos, including input to the E³UDRES² Student Board, a E³UDRES² Pub Quiz and open exchange about the Alliance.

From December 11th to 12th, 2024, the E³UDRES² One World Hackathon united students, entrepreneurs, and mentors across Europe in a vibrant exchange of ideas and solutions. The event, held simultaneously in Portugal, the Netherlands, and Hungary, demonstrated the transformative power of collaboration in solving real-world problems.

E³UDRES² is again launching online language courses, promoting multilingualism and intercultural cooperation. Join the E³UDRES² Language courses, enhance your linguistic skills and cultural understanding, while earning ECTS or a certificate! 

On 14 November, E³UDRES² had the chance to connect with students and regional companies at the Company Contact Fair 2024 hosted at Fulda University of Applied Sciences.

In November 2024, St. Pölten University of Applied Sciences once again gave away the Gender & Diversity Award, aiming to honor outstanding final theses dealing with topics related to gender and diversity issues. For the second time, the award also included a designated E³UDRES² category.

At Fulda UAS' Open House, the E³UDRES² booth introduced visitors to cross-border education, research, and innovation. Students, staff, and associated partners had the chance to learn more about E³UDRES² and all the opportunities the alliance offers for them.

The GRACE Joint Master’s Programme is close to its launch, following key events to finalize the curriculum and accreditation. With the final steps of the accreditation underway, GRACE aims to be welcoming students in Autumn 2025. Applications are open until February 1, 2025.

A total of 12 participants recently completed an intensive two-day staff training for proposal writing, hosted at St. Pölten UAS, Austria. Participants were able to leave the training with a clearer understanding of the proposal process, equipped with valuable insights into best practices for submitting competitive applications.

From 14-18 October, Vidzeme UAS hosted the E³UDRES² International Engagement Circus, bringing together more than 70 students from all E³UDRES² partner countries and various entrepreneurs.

The E³UDRES² Research Network invites contributions for its symposium on “Diverse, Inclusive and Healthy Regions", hosted at Saxion UAS on 03-04 December 2024. Submissions are possible until 04 November 2024.

On October 16, 2024, the E³UDRES² team participated in the Fulda University of Applied Sciences Support Fair, held during the university's Freshers' Week.

E³UDRES² President Hannes Raffaseder shared insights on best practices from European Universities at the Estonian Rectors' Conference, emphasizing the role of the E³UDRES² alliance in enhancing the European Higher Education Area.

EU Matters aimed to raise awareness about European values, democracy, and the importance of using your vote. In an official award ceremony, the E³UDRES² team working on the initiative received their prize and had the chance to present the concept of the campaign once again.

Over 100 representatives from the E³UDRES² partnering institutions gathered in Fulda from September 30th to October 2nd for the E³UDRES² General Assembly, focusing on collaboration and innovation to advance sustainable regional development.

During the annual European Researchers' Night, various E³UDRES² universities took part in the celebrations, hosting activities for students, staff and the general public alike.

E³UDRES² members from various partnering universities across Europe recently took part in the 34th European Association for International Education (EAIE) Conference and Exhibition, held in the vibrant city of Toulouse.

A diverse group of approximately 100 students recently participated in the E³UDRES² Intensive I Living Labs spanning over the course of one week. The format aimed to bring together students from several E³UDRES² partnering countries on-site in Austria, with a large contingent of participants joining from St. Pölten UAS' renowned media study programmes.

With the new semester starting, Jamk UAS organised its Back to Campus Week and Festival for both its existing and new students, as well as faculty and staff, to welcome everyone to the start the new academic year 2024/25. E³UDRES² and the activities it offers were also presented.

Listeners tuned in to Campus & City Radio 94.4 got the chance of an insight look into the E³UDRES² Alliance when Ramona Mauthner and Alex Xafis from the E³UDRES² team at St. Pölten UAS joined one of the station's radio shows.

The E³UDRES² Alliance commenced the new academic year with many members of its team travelling to St. Pölten, Austria, for discussing the next steps of the consortium.

St. Pölten UAS, managing the E³UDRES² Open Innovation Hub on the topic of Creative Industries & Digital Media, recently invited various representatives of the creative sector to foster cooperation with the E³UDRES² alliance.

As a first co-teaching activity in E³UDRES², lecturers from St. Pölten UAS and the Polytechnic University of Setúbal together gave a joint workshop on Mobile Coding, with many further co-teaching activites being planned.

Free language and culture courses in Dutch, Latvian, English, Portuguese, Hungarian and Finnish will be offered from the winter term 24/25 for students and staff of the E³UDRES² alliance.

Students from diverse backgrounds came together in Hasselt, Belgium, to find healthcare solutions through AI integration.

The E³UDRES² team focusing on the topic of Quality and Evaluation gathered in the heart of Finland to work on quality principles for E³UDRES², the E³UDRES² Label, and regional impact assessment.

On 28 June 2024, the European Commission approved the FOR-EU4All project, an initiative aiming to bring all European University Alliances into a common structure.

At the "Hochschultage" 2024 at Fulda UAS, the E³UDRES² booth offered visitors an exciting mix of interactive activities and valuable information about the university alliance.

From March 05-06 2024, Politehnica University Timișoara hosted the inaugural E³UDRES² General Assembly, bringing together members of the various E³UDRES² boards including student representatives, members of the E³UDRES² Head Office in Austria, as well as associated partners.

On 13-14 October 2023, E³UDRES² participated in I LOVE Tech Timisoara, where the Alliance was presented to attendees seeking insights into the collaborative efforts of the European University Alliance.

The event hosted on October 9 brought together representatives of 17 institutions of higher education from all over Romania.

In a statement released in late September, European University Alliances jointly request systemic funding for the long-term sustainability of the networks.

The E³UDRES² Bootcamp 2023 brought together 30 students at Lake Balaton, enabling them to use their diverse backgrounds in solving real-life challenges revolving around the topic of future food.

The Citizen Science Conference, which took place at the Polytechnic Institute of Setúbal on the 29th and 30th of June, brought together a dynamic congregation of researchers and community members eager to explore the remarkable advancements and boundless possibilities of citizen science.

The consortium was successful in convincing the commission with its ambitious application: The work of the alliance will definitely continue until 2027/29 and get supported with funding of around 14.4 million euros. The main focus of the next phase will lie on intensifying the existing cooperation of the now nine full partner universities.

At the end of June, the second edition of the European Education and Innovation Summit took place in Brussels, with E³UDRES² lead coordinator Hannes Raffaseder speaking during a panel discussion titled “Higher education and innovation actors join forces".

The Triple E Awards, recognizing exceptional achievements in the realm of entrepreneurship and higher education, were presented during this year's ACEEU Stakeholders Forum 2023 in Barcelona.

The European Students Assembly, an annual event that gathers each year more than 230 students from most European University Alliances, was joined by Kitty-Maria Ianto from Politehnica University Timisoara.

At the beginning of June, Hannes Raffaseder, lead coordinator of the E³UDRES² alliance, was invited to Brussels to participate in a discussion with various guests to talk about the role of "University (alliance)s in innovation ecosystems".

On 7 June 2023, higher education professionals from various countries participated in the international Udice Forum, hosted in Paris. Iveta Putnina, site coordinator of E³UDRES² at Vidzeme UAS, Latvia, joined the event and showcased the E³UDRES² experience.

The OpenGLAM.at Cultural Hackathon, jointly organized with E.I.N.S., brought together visionaries from galleries, libraries, archives, and museums to explore the vast potential of open data. Over three days of intense collaboration, participants not only dived deep into cultural heritage but also experienced an exhilarating AR workshop.

On Thursday, June 1st, start-ups and companies discovered the innovative and creative world of augmented reality (AR) at the workshop hold by Sergiu Ardelean from Artivive, which was organized by SMARTUP and E.I.N.S.

On 31 May 2023, it was once again time for the I Living Lab Showdown - the event celebrating the I Living Lab journey of hundreds of E³UDRES² students that worked on solutions for challenges from various areas.

The Intensive I Living Labs, an on-site event bringing together international students to work on real-life challenges, were hosted at Vidzeme University of Applied Sciences, Latvia.

From 22 to 23 March 2023, the consortium of UASHome, a project further connecting many members of E³UDRES² in a new setting, has met for its first on-site partner meeting at Amsterdam Science Park.

On 10 March, the St. Pölten University of Applied Sciences open.day took place again - a yearly event where the university opens its campus to all interested visitors, this year with a strong focus on the E³UDRES² Universe.

The workshop was organized by the Politehnica University of Timișoara, through the ID/IFR and e-Learning Center with the support of the EDEN Europe and IEEE Romania associations, during the Open Education Week 2023, supported by Open Education Global.

From 18 - 20 October 2021, several staff members from the international partner universities of our European University E³UDRES² visited St. Pölten University of Applied Sciences. 

The E³UDRES² European University Alliance looks back on its first year full of new activities.

From 23 - 24 September 2021, E³UDRES² hosted its first-ever Hackathon titled "Hack2Change" connecting six European regions.

E³UDRES² representatives from St. Pölten University of Applied Sciences joined the event and introduced the alliance and its goals to the audience of the symposium.

E³UDRES²-partner Vidzeme University of Applied Sciences presented E³UDRES² at the event in Estonia.

The incoming students were welcomed in an info-event that also introduced E³UDRES² to them.

The festival combining art with technology also featured E³UDRES²-partner Politechnic University Timisoara.

The workshop offered the possibility to create scenarios of Future Universities as drivers for smart and sustainable regions.

Pamela Nolz of St. Pölten UAS presented the research areas of E³UDRES² with a focus on the topics of circular economy.

The outdoor event connected participants of the Future Couch with educational innovators and management at UCLL.

The first Hackathon organized by E³UDRES² will revolve around the topic of "Smart & Sustainable Regions" and will take place from 23-24 October 2021.

The discussion titled "Powers of the Periphery. How networking empowers regions and fosters creativity" will host a round of experts in the field of higher education.

The online event discusses the theme "You are the artist of your own life!”.

E³UDRES² members spoke at the 30th Annual Conference of EURASHE.

The first edition of the Research Living Labs took place online.
