St. Pölten UAS, managing the E³UDRES² Open Innovation Hub on the topic of Creative Industries & Digital Media, recently invited various representatives of the creative sector to foster cooperation with the E³UDRES² alliance.

As a first co-teaching activity in E³UDRES², lecturers from St. Pölten UAS and the Polytechnic University of Setúbal together gave a joint workshop on Mobile Coding, with many further co-teaching activites being planned.

Free language and culture courses in Dutch, Latvian, English, Portuguese, Hungarian and Finnish will be offered from the winter term 24/25 for students and staff of the E³UDRES² alliance.

Students from diverse backgrounds came together in Hasselt, Belgium, to find healthcare solutions through AI integration.

The E³UDRES² team focusing on the topic of Quality and Evaluation gathered in the heart of Finland to work on quality principles for E³UDRES², the E³UDRES² Label, and regional impact assessment.

On 28 June 2024, the European Commission approved the FOR-EU4All project, an initiative aiming to bring all European University Alliances into a common structure.

Where should I bring enough cash? How much should I tip in Austria? What Orthodox festivities are there in Romania? Why should I try "Metworst" when I visit the Netherlands? How do I say "thanks" in portugese?

At the "Hochschultage" 2024 at Fulda UAS, the E³UDRES² booth offered visitors an exciting mix of interactive activities and valuable information about the university alliance.

The event attracted experts from across Europe to address important topics such as digital tools in open science, open license management and ethical considerations in citizen science.

On May 24, 2024, Austria's "Long Night of Research" once again opened the doors of research facilities across the nation, inviting the public to explore and engage with researchers as well as the latest scientific advancements.

The E³UDRES² booth at "Tage Kreativer Räume" in Fulda's Kaufhaus KARL, in coorporation with the Europe Direct Center Fulda, showcased EU membership benefits ahead of the EU elections on June 6-9, 2024.

Bringing the European Union to the campus, the E³UDRES² Team at St. Pölten UAS, Austria, declared the 15th of May 2024 the "Europe Day" at the Austrian higher education institution.

Thomas Berger, co-leader of the EURASHE Research Community of Practice, presented E³UDRES² at the VIKO/EURASHE International Staff Training Week in Lithuania, placing it into the context of EU funding strategies.

In February 2024, students from St. Pölten UAS travelled to Finland to participate in the Erasmus Blended Intensive Programme „Child & Play & Peer Interaction“ hosted at Jamk University of Applied Sciences in Jyväskylä.

On 15 March, St. Pölten UAS opened its doors to interested individuals aiming to study at its campus located in the center of Lower Austria. Among the booths and presentations showcasing the various study programmes, also the formats offered by E³UDRES² were presented.

The eleventh Open Education Week brought several days of interactive sessions to Politehnica University Timisoara, and attracted an international audience.

From March 05-06 2024, Politehnica University Timișoara hosted the inaugural E³UDRES² General Assembly, bringing together members of the various E³UDRES² boards including student representatives, members of the E³UDRES² Head Office in Austria, as well as associated partners.

Aiming to foster and further deepen international collaboration and explore educational opportunities, representatives of Bohdan Khmelnytsky National University of Cherkasy and St. Pölten UAS exchanged various ideas at the Austrian E³UDRES² institution.

Looking for innovative Co-Teaching Activities, concepts for Joint Degrees, and proposals for Research Centres of Excellence across institutions, E³UDRES² received more than 90 proposals, marking the initiation of various promising joint activities.

Politehnica University Timisoara presented its educational offers and the E³UDRES² alliance at the Student Recruitment Fair in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City from 21-25 October 2023

With the guidance of various experienced mentors, eight academic staff members supported participants through a journey of self-discovery and skill enhancement.

At the end of October, Politehnica University Timisoara hosted a training aiming to promote respectful communication, combat disinformation, and address hate speech within the academic realm.

Mid October, there were various opportunities for European University Alliances to connect and share experiences. Hannes Raffaseder participated in two events aimed at fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing among European higher education institutions.

The event held at Politehnica University Timisoara brought together more than 4.000 young students and graduates eager to explore career opportunities.

Participants explored the use of sensors to enhance Virtual Reality (VR) applications in digital health research, exchanging various approaches and insights.

On 13-14 October 2023, E³UDRES² participated in I LOVE Tech Timisoara, where the Alliance was presented to attendees seeking insights into the collaborative efforts of the European University Alliance.

The presentation traced the university's progression from digitization to full-scale digital transformation, accentuating E³UDRES²' role in shaping organizational strategies.

The event hosted on October 9 brought together representatives of 17 institutions of higher education from all over Romania.

In a statement released in late September, European University Alliances jointly request systemic funding for the long-term sustainability of the networks.

E³UDRES² member Giuliana Sabbatini from St. Pölten UAS wrapped up the past years of activities in the E³UDRES² Alliance and discusses future plans.

Running from September 26 to 29, the conference brought together a diverse community of more than 6.700 participants coming from more than 100 countries, according to the event's organizers.

The E³UDRES² Bootcamp 2023 brought together 30 students at Lake Balaton, enabling them to use their diverse backgrounds in solving real-life challenges revolving around the topic of future food.

The Citizen Science Conference, which took place at the Polytechnic Institute of Setúbal on the 29th and 30th of June, brought together a dynamic congregation of researchers and community members eager to explore the remarkable advancements and boundless possibilities of citizen science.

The consortium was successful in convincing the commission with its ambitious application: The work of the alliance will definitely continue until 2027/29 and get supported with funding of around 14.4 million euros. The main focus of the next phase will lie on intensifying the existing cooperation of the now nine full partner universities.

At the end of June, the second edition of the European Education and Innovation Summit took place in Brussels, with E³UDRES² lead coordinator Hannes Raffaseder speaking during a panel discussion titled “Higher education and innovation actors join forces".

The Triple E Awards, recognizing exceptional achievements in the realm of entrepreneurship and higher education, were presented during this year's ACEEU Stakeholders Forum 2023 in Barcelona.

The European Students Assembly, an annual event that gathers each year more than 230 students from most European University Alliances, was joined by Kitty-Maria Ianto from Politehnica University Timisoara.

At the beginning of June, Hannes Raffaseder, lead coordinator of the E³UDRES² alliance, was invited to Brussels to participate in a discussion with various guests to talk about the role of "University (alliance)s in innovation ecosystems".

Hannes Raffaseder, lead coordinator of E³UDRES² and CEO of St. Pölten UAS, was elected as the president of EURASHE, the European Association of Institutions in Higher Education. With Claudia Kreipl, Vice-President for Research and Transfer from E³UDRES² partner university Fulda University of Applied Sciences, another member of the alliance was also elected into the board of EURASHE.

On 7 June 2023, higher education professionals from various countries participated in the international Udice Forum, hosted in Paris. Iveta Putnina, site coordinator of E³UDRES² at Vidzeme UAS, Latvia, joined the event and showcased the E³UDRES² experience.

The OpenGLAM.at Cultural Hackathon, jointly organized with E.I.N.S., brought together visionaries from galleries, libraries, archives, and museums to explore the vast potential of open data. Over three days of intense collaboration, participants not only dived deep into cultural heritage but also experienced an exhilarating AR workshop.

On Thursday, June 1st, start-ups and companies discovered the innovative and creative world of augmented reality (AR) at the workshop hold by Sergiu Ardelean from Artivive, which was organized by SMARTUP and E.I.N.S.

On 31 May 2023, it was once again time for the I Living Lab Showdown - the event celebrating the I Living Lab journey of hundreds of E³UDRES² students that worked on solutions for challenges from various areas.

The event hosted on 19-20 April 2023 at St. Pölten UAS connected members from E³UDRES², Ulysseus, RUN-EU, ATHENA and EU4DUAL, giving them the opportunity to discuss their experience during many interesting sessions.

The Intensive I Living Labs, an on-site event bringing together international students to work on real-life challenges, were hosted at Vidzeme University of Applied Sciences, Latvia.

With the submission of a new proposal and many other activities, the E³UDRES² research network on "Human Contribution to Artificial Intelligence" has seen many great developments in the last months.

From 22 to 23 March 2023, the consortium of UASHome, a project further connecting many members of E³UDRES² in a new setting, has met for its first on-site partner meeting at Amsterdam Science Park.

On 10 March, the St. Pölten University of Applied Sciences open.day took place again - a yearly event where the university opens its campus to all interested visitors, this year with a strong focus on the E³UDRES² Universe.

The workshop was organized by the Politehnica University of Timișoara, through the ID/IFR and e-Learning Center with the support of the EDEN Europe and IEEE Romania associations, during the Open Education Week 2023, supported by Open Education Global.

E³UDRES² was present at the "Spotlight Heritage Timișoara - Digital Culture & Heritage Talks" conference on 17 February 17 2023, opening the diverse programme of Timisoara European Capital of Culture 2023.

On 09-10 March 2023, the second meeting of the General Assembly of the E³UDRES² Ent-r-e-novators project will be held at the University of Applied Sciences St. Pölten, Austria.
