Our recent webinar, Female Friday Talks “Financial Empowerment”, brought together 35 participants for an inspiring and practical exchange focused on supporting female founders in building sustainable and successful businesses.
Empowering Women Through Financial Knowledge and Strategy
The first session, led by Monika Kovářová-Simeček (USTP), explored the challenges women often face in accessing funding and investment opportunities. Participants gained practical insights into building a strong equity story, identifying funding opportunities tailored to women, and developing confident and compelling pitches through real-world examples and interactive exercises.
In the second session, Véronique Bockstal (UCLL) encouraged participants to “begin with their exit in mind.” Her talk focused on the importance of valuing one's work, creating businesses that generate long-term value, and reconnecting entrepreneurship with financial freedom. She highlighted the need for clear financial goals, strong networks, supportive teams, and strategic thinking from the very beginning of the entrepreneurial journey.
The webinar concluded with an empowering message: women already possess the power they need to succeed. Participants left motivated, inspired, and equipped with practical tools to take the next steps in their entrepreneurial journey. Feedback from attendees was very positive, underlining the value of the discussions, insights, and supportive atmosphere created throughout the event.
