The Polytechnic University of Setúbal (IPS) hosted a strategic meeting on 2–3 March to advance its ongoing Regional Engagement Assessment (REA), reinforcing its position as a key contributor to regional development.
Multi‑Stakeholder Dialogue to Strengthen Regional Engagement
The two‑day session focused on evaluating IPS’s relationship with its surrounding region and brought together a diverse group of participants. Stakeholders from organisations across the Setúbal district joined the discussions, alongside members of the E³UDRES² alliance acting in the role of 'critical friends', and a representative from EURASHE. Internal IPS representatives also participated, contributing valuable insights related to institutional strategy, governance, teaching, and the REA process.
IPS is one of four E³UDRES² partners engaged in a coordinated effort to systematically examine how Universities of Applied Sciences contribute to regional development- and how these contributions can be strengthened through shared methodologies, structured assessments, and peer learning across the alliance.
