E³UDRES² is excited to share that the E³UDRES² Board of Student Representatives, the official body standing in for the interests of all students of E³UDRES², has now elected their official main representatives. During an election held on 06 July 2022, Alexandru Luca (Romania) was elected unanimously as the chair of the board. The position as vice-chair was awarded to Marta Deņīsova (Latvia).
Team with different backgrounds
Both Alexandru and Marta have already been an integral part of the Board of Student Representatives before they got elected in their new positions. Alexandru is a student of Machine Learning & Computer Science at his home university in Romania, the Politehnica University of Timisoara. While his position as chair of the E³UDRES² Board of Student Representatives is new, this is not at all the only form of student representation he is involved in - he is also the president of the Students' League from the Faculty of Automatics and Computers at UPT.
Marta is currently studying Communication & Media Studies at Vidzeme University of Applied Sciences, Latvia. Her expertise and ideas have already supported the E³UDRES² team in various marketing and dissemination-related activities. Especially on social media, Marta has proven to have a great eye for finding out what's interesting to the E³UDRES² target groups.
Making Sure Students Have a Say
Following their new positions, both Alexandru and Marta will now regularly join E³UDRES² management meetings and bring a students' perspective to the work of E³UDRES². The members of the E³UDRES² management boards have already expressed their excitement about getting this first-hand feedback on their plans for strategy, events, and the general development of E³UDRES² - which is, in the end, very much about students and their needs at its core.
