On 04 November 2025, St. Pölten University of Applied Sciences revealed its new name: The higher education institution now operates under the name USTP – University of Applied Sciences St. Pölten. Along with the name, the university presented its all-new branding and logo. "With this rebranding, we highlight what our institution stands for: Excellent teaching, impactful applied research, and strong European networks within the framework of the European University Alliance E³UDRES²", the university of applied sciences states in an official message.
Developing a future-proof brand
Developing the new brand was an intensive process spanning over multiple months, involving various perspectives and voices coming from not only different departments and teams within the institution, but also an external branding agency as well as various regional stakeholders. Students, lecturers, staff members, graduates, and external partners all contributed their views, thus collectively creating a brand that reflects the university of applied science's attitude and identity: Innovative, connecting, and future-oriented. With the new English brand USTP – University of Applied Sciences St. Pölten, the institution aims to gain further international visibility and strengthens it sustainably. It is the first time the university of applied sciences made a major change in its brand appearance ever since its first study programme started in 1996.
