At Start UPT 2026, thousands of new students discovered the E³UDRES² Alliance! UPT offers cross-border learning, I Living Labs, and international bootcamps.

On September 25, 2026, the Politehnica University Timișoara (UPT) welcomed thousands of new students during the Start UPT 2026 event, introducing them to the core digital infrastructure of our university and discovering E³UDRES² opportunities. Thousands of new students were introduced to the international academic environment provided by the E³UDRES² European University Alliance, presented during orientation sessions and showcasing the broad spectrum of cross-border learning opportunities, resources, and collaborative tools available to all UPT members.

Students learned about the activities facilitated by E³UDRES², designed to boost both academic and professional growth:

  • The E³UDRES² Arena and its integrated Learning Hub provide students with access to ongoing international opportunities, collaborative online courses, and shared educational resources across all partner institutions.

  • I Living Labs: Students from various backgrounds work together in international teams to develop creative solutions to real-world challenges submitted by businesses or regional institutions.

  • Bootcamps: Intensive multi-day co-creation events where students from different partner universities gather in inspiring international locations to tackle specific regional topics under the guidance of mentors.

  • Hackathons: Fast-paced innovation sprints inviting students to look at familiar resources with fresh perspectives, sharp time management, and creative problem-solving.

  • YOSHI (Your Online Side Hustle International): An extracurricular collaborative online learning program designed to guide students in turning international entrepreneurial ideas into real business concepts.

  • FEMALE Friday Talks: Inspiring regular discussion sessions highlighting women in leadership, research, and innovation across the alliance network.

  • Future Appetizers & Shared Lectures: Online educational formats and shared digital sessions that connect learners and academic experts across European borders.

Students also learned about academic opportunities, including the Introduction in European Values and E³UDRES² course available to all first-year students, but also about E³UDRES² PhD Summer School, which brings together emerging researchers, doctoral candidates, and international mentors to foster cutting-edge scientific inquiry.

Furthermore, students were introduced to the Talent Funnel and Talent App, designed to map out academic and career pathways, as well as interactive engagement formats like the Science Pub Quiz, UniHack Quiz, and Startup Ideas Competition Quiz that have successfully engaged student communities across various UPT fairs and events.
